Eyes on the Prize: America’s Civil Rights Movement from 1954-1985
Website for the landmark 14-hour documentary series chronicling America’s epic civil rights movement. Produced by Blackside, the series won six Emmys, an Academy Award nomination, the George Foster Peabody Award, and the duPont-Columbia award for excellence in broadcast journalism. In 1990, eight more hours were broadcast as Eyes on the Prize II: America at the Racial Crossroads (1965–1985).
